Promotional products for businesses

Promotional products for businesses that do not end up in a drawer: useful promotional items for trade shows, client visits and campaigns, with your logo where it belongs. Below you will find a selection from the catalogue and how to choose by use and volume.

The promotional item that gets kept is the one that advertises

A promotional gift only works if it lasts beyond the following week: if the pen writes, the bottle gets used and the bag goes back out onto the street. Every time that happens, your brand appears in front of someone without you paying again. A promotional item that gets thrown away the same day may cost little, but it advertises nothing.

That is why it makes sense to choose in this order: first the use case (who receives it, where and what for), then the item, and finally the branding method. With those three decisions, the cost per unit almost explains itself. The table below helps with the first one.

Which promotional gift to choose by use

UseItems that fitWhat to keep in mind
Trade show or standBranded pens, lightweight tote bags, lanyards and keyringsHigh volume and quick handout: lightweight items in one colour, plus a better second item for the contacts that matter
Sales visit or client giftEngraved metal pen, hard-cover notebook, branded flasksFewer units and higher quality; a small engraved logo feels like a gift, not advertising
Brand campaign or activationTote bags in thick cotton, caps and reusable cupsItems that are worn or kept in view, with a campaign slogan as well as the logo
Sports or outdoor eventWater bottles, caps, drawstring bags and umbrellasMaterials that stand up to sun, rain and sweat, with branding that will not peel off
Internal day or trainingNotebooks, pens and mugsThe working materials for that day, which then stay on each person's desk

Volume and cost per unit: where the price comes from

For almost any promotional product, the price per unit has two parts: the item itself and the branding. The item changes little with quantity; the branding changes a lot, because setting it up costs the same for a few units as for thousands. The screen for screen printing, the embroidery digitisation or the pad printing plate is spread across every item in the order.

That is why a short run is not a problem if you choose the right technique. Laser engraving, digital print and sublimation have no setup cost, so the difference between ordering the minimum and ordering a few hundred is much smaller. With screen printing or embroidery in several colours, on the other hand, it pays to group volumes together: one design across more units is better than several designs across small quantities.

The minimum order is 10 units per item and €100.00 per quote, and each product page shows how the price comes down as quantity goes up.

How the price per unit changes with quantity

Run sizeWhat happens to the priceWhich technique makes sense
Short, close to the minimumThis is the highest price per unit: the branding setup is spread across only a few itemsLaser engraving, digital print and transfer, with no setup cost
A few dozenThe fixed cost matters much less on each item and the price starts to drop visiblyThe same techniques, plus one-colour screen printing on bags and textiles
Around a hundredThe first clear drop: the branding setup is barely noticeable on each unitScreen printing and pad printing start to beat digital print
Several hundred or thousandsThe price gets close to the cost of the item itself; the model you choose matters mostMulti-colour screen printing, embroidery and, on paper, offset printing

Each catalogue page shows tiered pricing by quantity, with one-colour branding in the standard position included. More colours or a different technique are adjusted in the quote.

Branding techniques for promotional products

  • Laser engraving on metal, bamboo and wood: pens, flasks and keyrings. It does not wear off and matches the tone of the material.
  • Screen printing on textiles, bags and umbrellas: solid colours and large logos, the usual option for medium and large runs.
  • Embroidery on polo shirts, sweatshirts and caps: it stands up better to washing and gives a more premium finish for client gifts.
  • Pad printing on plastic and curved surfaces: pens and small items, with fine detail in one or two colours.
  • Digital print, transfer and sublimation: full-colour logos or gradients, with no setup cost.

What to ask a promotional products supplier for

Before you confirm an order for promotional products, ask for four things: the price with branding already included, a mock-up of your logo on the item, a timeline worked back from the campaign date and a clear commitment if the branding goes wrong.

Here is how it works with us: a quote within 24 working hours with a free mock-up, payment when you approve the mock-up and, usually, two to three weeks for production. If the branding is faulty or does not match what was approved, it is repeated at no cost. If you are still unsure what to give, you have merchandise ideas for businesses sorted by occasion; and for trade shows and conferences, all the event merchandise.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Promotional products for businesses

If yours is not here, write to us. People answer, not an automatic form.

What is the difference between a promotional gift, an advertising gift and merchandise?

In practice, they are all items with your brand on them. People talk about promotional or advertising gifts when they go to clients and the public at trade shows and in campaigns, and about corporate merchandise when they go to your own team. The catalogue works for both.

Which cheap promotional gifts actually work?

Small-format items with one-colour branding: plastic pens, pencils, simple keyrings and lightweight tote bags. On a tight budget, one simple item done well is better than a complicated one of poor quality, because a promotional item that gets thrown away does no advertising.

How many promotional items should you take to a trade show?

Base it on the number of visitors you expect at your stand, not on the total attendance at the venue. Hand out on two levels: a simple item for everyone and a better one, in fewer units, for the contacts you care about.

Can I add a campaign slogan as well as the logo?

Yes: logo, slogan or your own design, and you will see it in the mock-up before approval. The catalogue price includes one colour in the standard position; a second position or more colours are adjusted in the quote.

How far in advance should promotional gifts for a campaign be ordered?

Work back from the date: the quote arrives within 24 working hours and production usually takes two to three weeks from when you approve the mock-up, plus shipping. For a trade show or launch, request the quote at least one month in advance.

Can I combine several promotional items in the same order?

Yes. Each item needs at least 10 units and the full quote has a minimum of €100.00. That is the usual setup: one item to hand out in volume and another, better one for clients, in the same shipment.

Are you manufacturers or suppliers of promotional products?

We are the supplier: we select the item, handle the branding and take responsibility for the result. If the branding is faulty or does not match the approved mock-up, we repeat it at no cost.
